About Us

Getting to know our family

We are a small breeder in the Twin Cities area. It has been a dream of our to be surrounded by dogs. With breeding we have been able to fill that dream and also meet some pretty great people who also love dogs as much as we do. One day we hope to have our own kennel so we can provide a great experience for other dogs when their family is out of town. We began this Journey back in 2016 with our best girl Maya. Maya is one of the best dogs we both have ever had and made a fantastic mama to so many puppies.

Our hope is that we can stay in touch after puppies leave our home but we totally understand if we cannot. In the past we have held puppy get together at a local dog park and plan on continuing that tradition.

Puppy Information

What we provide with puppies

All puppies come vet checked, UTD on shots, deworming, dewclaw removed, and microchipped. They will also come with all the important papers, (health records, microchip papers, and AKC registration).

how to know if we are the breeder for you

Puppies are well socialized by all ages before going to FURever home. Puppies grow up in our living room for the first 4 weeks of life. They are watched 24/7. Once they are able to be handled, they are snuggled and loved with all our hearts. For the last 4 weeks that we have them they are in giant whelping box in our garage (They get really loud when they are playing with each other in the middle of the night). At this point our family pretty much lives in the there with them. Watching puppies grow, learn, and develop their own personalities is our hobby. For more picture please check out our Facebook page. Hunting/companionship

what to expect

Our puppies are perfect for being a family/hunting dogs. They love to work but they also make very good hunting and pet companions.

Early training

We work with puppies on early stage gun training and initiate some scent training to get their nose working. Our goal when we send puppies home is for them to be excited to learn and curious.

Come on out

At North Country Goldens we strive for quality. If you are thinking about getting a puppy from one of our current or future litters, we would love for you to come out and visit with us. Our dogs would also LOVE to meet with you and show you around our place.

Aurora AKA (Rory) is the perfect family dog. She LOVES everyone she meets, especially kids. Rory is daughter to Maya North and Bull Dozzer. She is a very easy going girl. Rory is very low maintenance. She loves to play with her sister Luna and mom Maya but she loves to sit back and watch most of the time. Rory has the typical Golden Retriever attitude. She is a very happy dog and always wants to please. She is always up for any adventure but can be a couch potato as well. Rory was born on April 20th 2018, she is currently 2.

Luna is our youngest daughter of Maya North and Dozzer and she is a spitting image of her mom. She is currently working on field training and we have very high hopes that she will be an amazing bird dog like her mom. When Luna isn't working on field training you can find her with Maya, Rory, or her 1year old humans sister. Luna has the typical Golden Retriever attitude. She is a very happy dog and always wants to please. Luna was born on July 9th 2019, she is currently 1.

Maya living the life of being retired. She truly loved every last one of her puppies and will enjoy spending time with future puppies down the road.

MAYA PRINCESS OF THE NORTH COUNTRY

Maya is our recently retired Golden Retriever. She is currently 6 and has been a mother to 40 Golden Retriever puppies. She has passed along great qualities in all of her puppies and has been the best example for us on a dedicated relationship. Along with the great personality Maya has she also been a great hunting companion. and was sired from champion hunting bloodlines. She is not just a dog to us she is our Fur Child. Maya was born on May 15th 2014, she is currently 6.
